My Dreams and Goals by Michelle Dunn

My dream is to be a successful author and mentor to young people. I strive to do my best always and be an example that a woman can do anything she sets her mind to. If you know you can do something, you can.

I grew up being told I was stupid, that no one would ever marry me, that I was unattractive and would never do anything with my life.

I am now 38, I have been married twice and have had 3 children, I gave my first child up for adoption and raised my other two boys. I started my own business (M.A.D. Collection Agency) in 1988 so I could be home with my boys and sold it 8 years later. I am a writer, publisher, consultant, mother, friend, and strong woman.

My children provide drive for me to be successful. I have two teenage boys and they think I am smart, successful, beautiful and fun. I broke the cycle with my parents and my children know by example that they can do anything they want, and no matter what, I will always be there to help them. That is my most successful goal accomplished so far.

I want to publish more of my books, I want to finish writing my life story and publish that to help every young person, boy or girl, know that I did it and they can to. I am hoping my book will help them to see they are not the only one being told these things, and that they are better than that. I think my book will inspire and motivate people to realize and act on their dreams. I am also going to have it made into a screenplay because I think it will send a powerful message and help many people, young and old.
