Networking is a very important factor in building your online business/ezine and relationships with your potential customers/subscribers.You do not deal with people face to face as in a "traditional" business, so you must find other ways to connect with people and build your subscriber base.

Networking involves meeting, connecting with, and building that all important trust/respect relationship with as many people as possible. It is like a snowball. Your "network" of connections starts out small, but will grow as you make yourself known.

Use every opportunity to network and make those connections. For example:

  1. When you publish someone's article in your ezine send them a copy with a thank you note for the good article.
  2. Contact as many Newbies as you can and give them a helping hand. Do not spam....by contact I mean invite them to do an ad swap, link exchange or other JV.
  3. Do ad swaps with as many different publishers as possible.
  4. Answer your emails as quickly and as efficiently as possible to answer questions, give advice, or provide information.
  5. Encourage people to keep in touch with you. When you answer an email, ask them questions to continue the relationship.

These are just a few examples of the hundreds of ways to network online. Discussion lists and message boards are also great places for networking. When you visit boards or join groups, be sure to follow the guidelines for posting. Do not insult others, or spam the groups/boards. What you are doing is showing people that you know what you are talking about, that you can be trusted, and that you are a dependable professional. But you also want them to know that you are there if they have questions or need help.

Putting people first and building your reputation as a knowledgeable and helpful professional will go a long way in building your business and your subscriber base. After the contact subscribes to you ezine, then you can strengthen the bond of trust and respect. Be there for them when they need you and they will turn to you for more!

But remember, you must conduct your business that way all the time! Do not use those tactics just to get people to sign-up and then leave them by the wayside. Get to know your readers/associates, connect with them, help when you can, share, and learn from them. There are so many aspects to building relationships with people online........but always remember the "Golden Rule" Treat others as you would have them treat you!!

This is the basis of my business. Although it might take time, in the long run, it is very rewarding in many ways, for MOE and for ME! I have built a solid foundation of trust and respect on which to build MOE. Of this I am very proud and I have also made myself several very special friends!!!*************
